Party
in the Harbor Islands National Park!
Please

just off!) Spectacle Island in The Boston Harbor's Islands National Park for a
celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the park we are all working so hard to
save!

The
view from the Band Boat during SoundWaves 2003 off Peddocks Island
SoundWaves
2006
New England's Largest Floating Blues Festival and Raft-Up.
This
year's line-up includes Clutch Grabwell, Basic Black and the Rampage Trio.
The concert is free to the public, though contributions are certainly welcome.
And this year it is easy and inexpensive to get to the island.
You can catch
a regularly scheduled ferry to Spectacle Island from Long Wharf for just $12.00
round trip, or:
You can reserve a spot on the "Band Boat" for
just $15.00 per person or $25.00 per couple. ($5.00 discount with Blues Society
or Blues Audience Membership.)
The Band Boat Leaves from the Mass Bay Lines
dock at Rowes Wharf at 12:00 noon and returns at 6:00 p.m. You can purchase your
tickets right on the boat.
Private boats are encouraged to anchor and raft-up
outside the swimming area on the north west side of the island and enjoy the concert
and the island.
Thanks to the generosity of Constitution Marina, Spectacle
Island Marina is free to the boating public Saturday afternoon on a first come
first serve basis. Your vessel may be rafted up and shifted around a bit. Plan
on staying until the concert is over, and bring your fenders!
Thanks to
Mass Bay Lines and the Island Alliance for their support of this event, and to
all the park partners for their work in support of our National Park!
